Our Standard

Thank you for your interest in Special Creations, LP a physician directed FDA registered agency that offers the highest industry standard for egg donor qualification through a greater level of donor pre-screening. It is our mission to assist you in finding your perfect donor.

Under the direction of a board certified reproductive endocrinologist and a previous egg donor recipient who experienced first hand the process of assisted reproduction, our agency matches prospective parents with donors and manages all of the arrangements associated with the egg donation process. We emphasize the importance of recipient and egg donor confidentiality, compassion, and support for the entire process of egg donation.

Special Creations, LP is one of the only stand alone donor agencies that pre-qualifies all of its donors prior to listing them in the donor database. Pre-qualification means that all of our donors have already passed the comprehensive initial application process which includes a thorough medical history screening, medical records review and psychological evaluation, obstetrics examination and pelvic ultrasound, drug screen, and initial laboratory screening. Too often, donors that are not pre-screened to this level are disqualified after being selected by the recipient for various medical reasons or failed medical testing. Although providing a much higher level of pre-screening is more expensive, the benefits are enormous, resulting in a more efficient process for everyone involved, less emotional stress, and a shorter wait to cycle stimulation.

Another advantage of Special Creations, LP is that we are under the direction of a reproductive endocrinologist, further facilitating the process of egg donation and in vitro fertilization. Dr. Heard has taken care of thousands of families with special fertility needs and will work closely with the recipients’ physician. Dr. Heard also manages and closely follows the donor during the stimulation process, lessening the chances of failures during stimulation. We have found that this combination of thorough pre-screening donors and continuity of donor management with a reproductive endocrinologist is a great advantage and a wonderful service for the prospective parents and our donors. It is our goal to make the entire process of egg donation as emotionally rewarding as possible and to lessen the chances of donor disqualification.

We take pride in the quality of our donors and their level of interest to help families in need. All of our donors are between the ages of 21 and 31, are in excellent health, and are compensated for their time and commitment.
